Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
Student will be able
- evaluate load on environment at use of various power engineering sources, both classical and unconventional,
- propose non-traditional solution of protection of environment in the area of stationary, as well as mobile sources,
- summarise and predict load of the given area by emissions,
- propose clean technologies for power engineering.

Summary
Subjekt is focused on heat and power development and management. Classical, renewable and unconventional resources are examined.Emphasis is placed on correct setting of individual types into distributing network, avoiding of emissions creation, detoxicant technologies.

Subject syllabus:
Convention and Protocols.
Policy of CR in Environmental Protection.
Energy sources, world supply and availability. National Energy Conception.
Stationary and mobile sources of pollution.
Types of industrial emissions, their characteristics, limitations, register.
Environmental pollution due to thermal processes - emissions, manner and factors of their occurrence.
Possibilities of reduction of emission formation. Primary actions of combustion procedures. Secondary ways.
Waste gases cleaning. Basic methods of desulphurisation, denitrification, dedusting. Removal of aromatic hydrocarbons.
Waste water in energy management, classes of pollution. BSK5, ChSK5, cleaning methods - biological, chemical.
Radioactivity, thermal emissions, dustiness, noise, vibrations.
Emissions in transport, comparation of rail, road, water, air transport.
Energy management rationalization.
Basic legislation.
Seminars
Energy resources in the world, European, regional scale, the state energy conception, evaluation of energy supply in terms of environmental impact, the consequences of the use of fossil fuels, biofuels, assessment of local energy sources, types and development of emissions in relation to thermal processes, detoxication, greenhouse gases - the different types, removal of the selected type of emission, waste water treatment, noise reduction, etc.
