- Show the relationship between structure, phase composition and properties of special inorganic non-metallic materials - Solve the possibility of a selection of materials and defined properties

Summary

Non-traditional methods of glass preparation. Special glasses (for electronics and electrotechnics, metal glasses, glass layer). Processes of technical and special ceramics preparation. Constructional ceramics, bioceramics. Special ceramics – ferrites, ceramic semiconductors, solid electrolyte, superconductors.

Subject syllabus:

1) Glassy state segregation in sklotvorných systems. 2) Inorganic glass-forming systems. 3) Non-traditional methods of preparing glasses (rapid cooling of reactive and non-reactive deposition, sol-gel techniques). 4) The application of inorganic glasses in Electrical Engineering. 5) Glass-crystalline materials (nucleators, the main types of systems for industrial ceramics). 6) Properties of ceramic materials applications. 7) The principles and techniques of preparation of defined mixtures of raw materials and special ceramics. 8) non-traditional shaping. 9) sintering theory, applications, requirements for firing. 10) ceramics - and neoxidová oxide, properties, application, a hard synthetic material. 11) Functional ceramic materials for electronics: capacitor dielectric, piezo-, pyro-and optoelectronic materials. 12) bioceramic materials. 13) single crystals. 14) Ceramic and glass coatings.
