Subject syllabus:
Extension of basic knowledge about the Earth's atmosphere and the development of its composition, definition of terms. Air pollutants. They are systematically discussed various solid, liquid and gaseous substances that contribute to air pollution, their classification, origin and possibilities of their generation, behavior and reactions of substances in the atmosphere and possible effects on the individual recipient of the animate and inanimate nature. Classification of air pollution sources are defined by various natural and anthropogenic sources, Theky are mentioned global estimates of the amount of pollutants and classification of anthropogenic sources from different perspectives, incl. characterization of mobile sources. It is reported pollutants from a global perspective (disturbance of ozone layer, acid rain, smog, climate changes). Methods of reducing air pollution and management of its quality - the reduction / pollution control possibilities are summarized through organizational and technical measures. It is reported methods and technologies for reducing pollution of pollutants using appropriate equipment. Legislation to protect the air shows the previous development of legislation in this area in Czech Republic and a brief description of current legislation.
