Summary
Course defines refractories materials. Attention is oriented on the thermal properties of these materials and methods of thier preparation and their application and their evaluation of possibilities modification of their parameters.

Subject syllabus:
Thermal and thermomechanical properties of ceramic materials. The distribution of refractories materials. The principles of manufacture process. Shaped materials - dinas, mullite and magnesite ceramics materials, oxide and unoxide ceramics materials resistant to high temperature, melted and cast materials. Resolution of manufacture processes and parameters of no pores and light-weight materials. Castables and other unshaped refractories materials. Thermal insulating ceramics. The principles of using of these materials, corrosive attack of melts and gases on ceramics materials. Measures to increase the service life of refractory ceramic materials in the operating conditions.
