Summary
Human production is related to waste production. Despite efforts to reduce waste production, respectively their material recovery there remains the amount of industrial and mixed municipal waste for which there is no adequate exploitation. The subject gives the basic characteristics of the waste, which can be considered as fuel. The student acquires knowledge about methods of waste utilization by oxidation and reduction methods as well as low-temperature methods. Emphasis is placed on ways to reduce the negative effects of energy treatment of waste on the environment with the greatest possible energy efficiency of these process. The graduate will become acquainted with the possibilities of monitoring of the indicators of energy treatment of waste and will become familiar with the ways of processing of the solid residues from energy treatment of waste process.
