- student will be able to describe the basic principles related to the topic of the diploma thesis - student will be able to understand and competently work with the professional literature - student will be able to use their knowledge to information retrieval on the topic of the diploma thesis - student will be able to apply the entirety of theoretical and practical knowledge in the processing of the diploma thesis

Summary

The subject acquaints students with the procedures for searching and processing of data in the literature according to the principles for the development of the diploma thesis. Build the contents of a text incorporating literary analysis in the field of thermal engineering and industrial ceramics according to the diploma thesis. Starting diploma thesis under the supervision of a consultant or on a specified topic of the diploma thesis.

Compulsory literature:

1. It is listed in the diploma thesis. 2. Requirements for the development of the final theses according to the guidelines of Department 635, which are available from: http://katedry.fmmi.vsb.cz/635/.

Recommended literature:

1. Principles for the developing of the thesis according to the guidelines of the Faculty of Metallurgy and Materials Engineering, are available from: http://www.fmmi.vsb.cz/cs/okruhy/studium-a-vyuka/studijni-predpisy/.

Subject syllabus:

1. Familiarization with the requirements for the diploma thesis, a discussion of the source literature citation rules, format and scope of the diploma thesis. 2. Processing literature review aimed at addressing the diploma thesis. 3. Analysis min. three foreign and three other literary sources from the area of solved problems in the form of text as a basis for the diploma thesis. 4. Continuous consultation as appropriate with supervisor or consultant the diploma thesis. 5. Checking research, literary analysis and the writing of the diploma thesis and award of credit. 6. Monitoring other sources of information in the field of thermal engineering and industrial ceramics.
