Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
The student will gain an overview of the issue of the circular economy in the field of energy management. The student knows the energy demand of key industries and the possibilities of fulfilling it with the active contribution of renewable sources. He understands the risks of the conventional way of providing energy and knows ways to minimize the resulting negative effects. The student is qualified to assess the possibilities of energy availability with regard to the external specific conditions of its need.

Summary
The subject introduces the principles of the circular economy, which can be implemented in the energy management sector, both during their production and also used, especially on the side of energy-intensive economic sectors. Basic tools for finding a balance between sustainable production and energy consumption are presented. Methods of energy production from renewable sources are discussed, including the perspective of their further development. Part of the subject is the presentation of the legislative framework, which is related to the circular economy, again especially in relation to energy.
