Teaching methods

Summary

The lecture is divided into three basic parts. The first one is structure of solid matter, the second one is degradation processes of structural materials and essential factors affecting them. The last part of the lecture is behaviours of basic groups of structural materials. Starting from atomic and molecular structure the presentation is continuing by physical and mechanical properties of materials under given conditions of exploration. The lecture emphasises significance of the relationship between structure and behaviours not only in general physical level but also for evaluation of behaviours and technical applications of steels and casting iron, non ferrous metals, ceramics and glasses, polymers and composites. The presentation of testing methods of physical and namely mechanical properties is apart of lecture. It completes knowledge needed for assessment reliability and service life of structural materials at theirs selection for a given purpose.

Přednášky: 1. Úvodní přednáška 2. Základní skupiny konstrukčních materiálů a jejich charakteristiky 3. Struktura materiálů a defekty struktury 4. Atomová a molekulová struktura 5. Krystalická struktura a její poruchy 6. Dislokace a jejich interakce s prvky mikrostruktury 7. Fyzikální vlastnosti pevných látek a jejich vztah ke struktuře 8. Měřění fyzikálních vlastností a jejích hodnocení 9. Napěťově-deformační chování konstrukčních materiálů 10. Lomové charakteristiky a jejich měření 11. Koncepce tranzitní teploty 12. Mechanismy iniciace a šíření únavového poškození 13. Hodnocení únavové životnosti konstrukčních ocelí 14. Mechanismy creepového poškození a hodnocení životnosti při creepu 15. Životnost konstrukčních částí při víceosé napjatosti a odhad jejich životnosti 16. Koroze a korozní praskání kovů 17. Základní mechanismy opotřebení funkčních povrchů a charakteristiky jejich hodnocení 18. Zásady výběru a použití konstrukčních materiálů a design jejich struktury 19. Důsledky působení degradačních procesů ve spolehlivosti konstrukčních částí 20. Základní rozdělení ocelí a litin, vztah mezi jejich strukturou a vlast- nostmi 21. Metody zvyšování užitných vlastností konstrukčních ocelí 22. Zvláštní typy ocelí a zásadní směry ve vývoji nových typů ocelí 23. Neželezné kovy a jejich slitiny, základní dělení 24. Zlepšování užitných vlastností neželezných kovů 25. Struktura a vlastnosti keramických materiálůa anorganických nekovových skel 26. Struktura a vlastnosti polymerů a elastomerů 27. Zásady designu struktury kompozitních materiálů, vlastnosti kompozitů a je- jich užití 28. Shrnutí přednášky. Cvičení: 1. Úvodní cvičení 2. Krystalografie kubických a hexagonálních struktur 3. Poruchy mřížky a difúze 4. Fáze kovových soustav 5.-8. Mechanické zkoušky materiálů 9. Metalografie uhlíkových ocelí 10. Tepelné zpracování ocelí 11. Tepelné zpracování litin 12. Slitiny neželezných kovů 13. Nové technické materiály 14. Zápočtový týden
