Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
Teaching methods
Summary
Physical, chemical and granulometric properties of powders for sintered
materials. Sampling of powders. Methods of particle size analysis.
Technological properties. Powder conditioning and heat treatment. Health and
safety. Sintering. porosity. Some products of powder metallurgy: alloyed
steels, superalloys, hard metals, magnetic materials, high porosity materials
(Al). Whiskers, micro- and nanocrystalinne materials. SME (shape memory
effect), SIM (stress induced martensite) and TRIP (transformation induced
plasticity).
