Summary

The basic Heat treatment (HT) types follow selected, the most perspective HT fields and their physical metallurgy principles are analysed (e.g. double phase steels, multiphase structures, TRIP effect during HT. Stability, instability conditions of structures are discussed, being occurred in case the up to date type of metallic material surface treatment (e.g. electro-heating, laser and plasma exposition, chemical-heat treatment). The HT types of non-ferrous metals and their alloys are integral part (Al, Cu, Ti, Mg, Ni including their aging process parameters).
