Summary

Classification of the properties. Structure and properties. Physical properties. Elasticity, plasticity and fracture. Mechanical properties. Classification of the testing methods (tensile test, impact test, hardness tests, fatigue, creep, technological and non-destructive testing). Measurements of special mechanics properties of plate, wire, glasses and others special materials. European standards of mechanical testing. Classification and methods of testing of electrical, magnetical a thermical. Utilization those properties for structure determination. Measurement of Young˘s modulus. Dilatometry

Subject syllabus:

The importance of materials testing. Properties of materials. Overview and distribution selected special test methods. - Description of state of stress in isotropic solids, homogeneous slip. - Basics křehkolomového behavior of materials (quarry ideal body and body with cracked, brittle failure criteria, the transition temperature of brittle-ductile condition survey of dislocation theory of germs microcracks. - Limit state of brittle failure, the influence of internal and external factors on the fragile quarry, methods of determining susceptibility to brittle fracture. - Fracture Mechanics (LM), LM concept, definition of variables LM, LLM, variables C, G, Experimental methods for determining quantities LLM. Elasto fracture mechanics (EPLM). Instrumented impact testing machine. - Determination of fatigue properties of metals. - Creep of metals, creep curves, the nature of creep of metals, parametric equation process flow, cracking creep, creep fracture. - Fundamentals of testing elastic materiálů.Basic testing of plastics. Basic testing of composite materials. - Study of basic physical properties (electrical, magnetic and thermal properties). - Non-destructive testing. (Visual testing. Testing-neutron radiography radiography. Testing electromagnetic (magnetic particle and eddy currents). Ultrasonic testing, ultrasonic flaw detector, straight and angled probe. Gauge K1 and K2. Penetration testing. Acoustic emission testing. Leak Testing (bublinkani, changes in pressure and helium leak detectors). Testing infrared radiation, and other NDT methods. Implementation of the thickness measurement ultrasonic thickness gauges. Exercise: 1. Preliminary exercises. 2. Calculation of elastic properties, determining the modulus of elasticity of materials. 3 to 4 Experimental tests of fracture mechanics. 5 to 6 Evaluation of fatigue and creep tests. 7. Experimental determination of anisotropy and hardening exponent of sheet metal. 8 to 10 Principles of measurement of physical quantities. (Electric, magnetic and heat) - presentation of papers. 11 to 13 The non-destructive testing. 14. Credit.
