Summary
Importance of technical law regulations for the present society. Historical
development of the particular types of technical law regulations. Basic types
of technical law regulations in the Czech Republic. Technical law regulations
in the EU. Realization of the so-called „Roman agreements“. Systém and
organization of the international, EU and Czech technical standardization. Act
providing technical requirements on products. Act providing requirements on
safety of products. Producer liability act on claims caused by defects of
products. Harmonized standards. Product conformity assessment. Quality
management system and his role in the product conformity assessment.

Subject syllabus:
Lectures:
- Introduction to technical and legal regulations, the importance of techno-
law for contemporary society, the historical development of
types of technical legislation, the basic types of technical and legal
regulations in the Czech Republic.
- The generally binding legal regulations of a technical nature in the CR;
concept and form of laws - laws, government orders, decrees, their
importance for the protection of public interest, the relationship between the generally binding legal
technical regulations and technical standards.
- Legislation of a technical nature as a tool to support and not
barrier to international trade and research and development of new products;
harmonization of Czech legislation with EU legislation, ie an application
Community law into the Czech legal order in terms of legislation
technical nature.
- Legislation of a technical nature in the EU and EU primary law,
EU secondary legislation - regulations, directives, decisions, recommendations and
opinion.
- The EU as an instrument for regulating the technical requirements.

standards of ISO 9000:2000 quality management system certification, good
function of the quality management system as a prerequisite for stable product quality,
