Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
Students will gain an overview of basic techniques of destructive as well as non-destructive testing of properties of engineering materials. The gained knowledge will help them to choose the optimal testing method for getting the needed information. Students will learn how to interpret results of basic mechanical and technological tests. The course is also focused on understanding of different procedures at testing of various classes of materials. Students will learn about new techniques of testing of advanced materials. They will be able to choose the appropriate technique of non-destructive testing for evaluation of internal quality of materials.
