Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Graduates will be able, on the basis of deep knowledge of the relationship between structure and properties, and management influence the performance characteristics of selected types of non-metallic materials. Understand progessive ways to increase their preparation. Handle mechanisms of rapid solidification, mechanical alloying, oxide dispersion zpevnění.Je able to design non-metallic materials according to their purpose.

Summary

Basic physical and engineering characteristics of bearing types of nonmetallic materials. Evaluation of mechanical, physico-chemical and physical properties. To ensure efficient use of technical and operational reliability. Prospects for further development of bearing types of non-metallic materials and their technical applicability.

Subject syllabus:

-Basic physical and engineering characteristics of bearing type of non-metallic materials -Terms officient use of selected types of non-metallic materials in terms of operations reliability -Evaluation of their mechanical, physical-chemical and physical properties -Materiál properties of technical ceramics, coposites with brittle matrix -Nanocrystaline materials and their structural characteristics -Rapid solidification, amorphous materials, structure, properties -Materials based macromolecular substances
