Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Students will gain the knowledge about structures and properties of materials surfaces. They can explain the technology of surface materials editing to improve or optimize their properties. They will familiar with both classical and progressive coating and layers technologies, their testing and evaluation.

Teaching methods

Individual consultations

The course deals with significant physical, chemical, mechanical and other surface properties. The content is focused on specific properties and structure of surfaces, thin layers and coatings. It deals with surface treatments and methods of testing surface properties. It provides knowledge about coating and layer coating technologies
