Summary

The subjects makes students familiar with general requirements to materials applied at construction and operation of nuclear power reactors. This general part is followed by characteristics of individual groups of materials, such as: coating materials, fissile materials and fertile materials, moderators, coolants. Students get familiar with requirements to these materials, basic technologies for their production, evaluation of their quality and possibilities of modification of their properties.
