Student will be able to: - classify types of materials based on nonferrous metals used in automotive industry. - describe preparation and heat treatment and mechanical processing of alloys of nonferrous metals - evaluate machinability and weldability of alloys of nonferrous metals - characterise physical, mechanical and structural properties of alloys of nonferrous metals - enumerate, or select new suitable applications of alloys of nonferrous metals

Summary

Student becomes acquainted in this subject with various types of materials based on nonferrous metals, which are used in automotive industry. He gains knowledge about preparation, heat treatment and mechanical processing, machinability, weldability, physical, mechanical and structural properties, as well as about applications of alloys of nonferrous metals.
