Summary

Student of the course will gain, in connection with the basic knowledge of material science, knowledge about the properties of materials based on non-ferrous metals and their alloys. He will know the heat treatment and the structural phase composition of selected alloys in relation to their physical, mechanical, corrosion and other properties as well as their applications in the automotive industry. Learning outcomes of the course will enable the student to get an overview of the directions of development of new materials and to orient themselves in the used modern metallic materials.
