Student will be able to: - explain the interconnecteness general, developmental and social psychology. - apply compensation techniques in stressful situations - define the area of health psychology, attitudes to illness, dying issues - explain the difference between health professionals and patient attitude to illness

Summary

The course is conceived as a theoretical and practical, which aims to introduce students in terms of theoretical and practical issues of psychology and applied disciplines in health care. The psychological part deals with the connectedness of the human psyche and its experience related to stress, illness and departure from life. On the area of health psychology follow ethical and legal standards, the importance of confidentiality and patients' rights, the principles of communicating truth to the patient and the principles of the Code of Ethics

Subject syllabus:

Lectures: ·Psychologie jako teoretická báze aplikovaných psychologických disciplín. Psychologické pojmy (psychika, psychické obsahy, psychické procesy, psychické stavy, prožívání a chování, vědomí a nevědomí, podvědomí a předvědomí) z ohledu zdraví a nemoci. Kognitivně senzorické procesy, emoce a jejich vztah ve zdraví a nemoci. Sociální psychologie a její aplikace do zdravotnické psychologie · Zdravotnická psychologie – vymezení pojmu. Celostní péče o pacienta. Psychologická problematika nemocného – postoj k nemoci. Psychologická stránka průběhu nemoci – postoj zdravotníka a nemocného k nemoci. Biopsychosociální přístup k nemocným. Stres, úzkost, syndrom vyhoření.
