Student vill be able orientate oneself in the PC and large computing systems and the system communications.The students will be able to choose the units blcks of computings systems..

Teaching methods

Summary

Auditors familiarizing with basic conceptions modern computer systems - multiprocessors systems - simultaneous working computers. Further familiarizing with conceptions of RISC and CISC processors, peripheral arrangements, bus systems, basic conceptions of nets.Main direction is bent on hardware composition PC - system and their periphery. Auditors should have obtain orientation at proposal setting PC - system practically.

Subject syllabus:

1. Úvod do PC systémů - základní třídění, charakteristiky, architektura. 2. Mikroprocesory RISC a CISC - principy řetězení, zástupci RISC procesorů. 3. Rozsáhlé procesorové systémy - paralelní struktury. 4. Popis vnitřní stavby Intel procesorů - od 8088 po 80286, srovnání PC- XT PC – AT. 5. Popis vnitřní stavby Intel procesorů 386, 486, PENTIUM - základní charakteristiky. 6. Procesory AMD. 7. Režimy práce - real a virtuální režim. 8. Grafické subsystémy PC. 9. Velkokapacitní paměťová media diskety, hard disky, CD-ROM - organizace, ovládání. 10. Periferie - tiskárny, plotry, průmyslové měřící systémy - sběrnice. 11. Sítě - topologie - distribuce systémů. 12. Rozsáhlé systémy - zásady návrhu - analýzy, volby prostředků HW a SW..
