Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
- students will have the ability to identify and define main control and logistics problems and understood them.
- students also gain ability to find proper methods to solve such problems by means of using methods of numeric programming and network charts (CPM, PERT etc.).
- students will be able to create different mathematical models for many different logistics and control situations.
- students also gain ability to use their knowledge in solving control and logistics problems in different practical situation of manager day-to-day life.
- students will learn how to analyse and formulate suitable solving in the light of different practical conditions.
- students will have ability of the understanding how their decision affect functions of the company on local and strategic level, too.

Summary
Logistics as an integrated planning, pursuit and management of material and
information streams from supplier to the enterprise, inside and outside of the
enterprise and to the consumer. Management of material streams and theirs
technical support with computer and communication devices, connected with
automatic identification technologies, robotics, transport systems and
artificial intelligence elements. These ones are basic trends of technological

Subject syllabus:
1 Introduction to logistics systems and logistics modeling.
2 Logistics as integrated logistics planning.
3 Information flows from suppliers to the company within the company and from company to customers and their modeling.
4 Management of material flows.
5 Logistics and technical support of computer and telecommunications technology.
6 Logistics and automatic identification technology, robotics, transportation systems and the application of artificial intelligence.
7 Basic directions of the technical background of logistics processes.
8 Logistics information systems as an economic tool for the optimization of financial costs of monitoring the life cycles of materials, products and services, beginning and ending with the purchase of consumption or disposal.
9 Expert systems in logistics.
10 Progressive modeling of logistics systems.
