Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

- students will have the ability to identify and define main control and logistics problems and understood them. - students also gain ability to find proper methods to solve such problems by means of using methods of numeric programming and network charts (CPM, PERT etc.). - students will be able to create different mathematical models for many different logistics and control situations. - students also gain ability to use their knowledge in solving control and logistics problems in different practical situation of manager day-to-day life. - students will learn how to analyse and formulate suitable solving in the light of different practical conditions. - students will have ability of the understanding how their decision affect functions of the company on local and strategic level, too.

Summary

Logistics as an integrated planning, pursuit and management of material and information streams from supplier to the enterprise, inside and outside of the enterprise and to the consumer. Management of material streams and theirs technical support with computer and communication devices, connected with automatic identification technologies, robotics, transport systems and artificial intelligence elements. These ones are basic trends of technological back-ground of logistical processes. Expert systems in logistics.
