Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

To understand current perception of quality. To learn about basic principles and concepts of quality management. To apply the ISO 9000 family of standards concept as well as the TQM concept. To learn about basic methods and tolls of quality management.

Summary

Explanation of key items and processes within quality management is stressed with special regards to quality assurance in design stage, purchasing, production, services etc. The students also learn in more details to calculate costs and effects related to quality and another types of measurements in quality management systems. The basic features of various conceptions of quality management systems (according to the ISO, branch standards and TQM) will be explained, too.

Way of continuous check of knowledge in the course of semester

V průběhu semestru dva písemné testy na cvičeních , 2 semestrální projekty (jeden týmový a jeden individuální) . Písemné testy jsou hodnoceny max. po 10 bodech, týmový projekt (presentace) max.5 bodů, individuální max. 10 bodů.Za aktivní účast na min. 11 cvičeních za semestr lze získat 5 bodů. Celkem lze za semestr získat 40 bodů.

Quality at purchasing. 10. Quality management at product realization. Statistical process control. 11. Quality at sales and service. Product liability. Infrastructure management. Customer satisfaction measurement. 12. Quality management at public sector and governance. 13. Quality improvement - PDCA cycle and methodology of improvement. FMEA and other methods. 14.
