Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Students will : - understand practical aspects of the process management application - understand standardization process - take bearing in operational planing and management - be able to create admissible operational plans - be able to apply some of Lean Methods (5S, Kanban, Poka-Joke, Jidoka, TPM, SMED) - take bearing in practical application of Six Sigma methodology - be able to select the most suitable PPS - be able to apply simple methods of layout optimization - be able to realize the process tíme analysis - be able to create general LP model - be able to solve simple LP problem - to realize an analysis of simple SHO

Summary

Understanding the process approach principles is the main goal of this subject. The subject is mainly specialized in an analysis of time, subject and space structure of the production process using operations research methods, simulation programmes, software for integrated business process management etc.). The firms norm base, progressive management systems (JIT, KANBAN, MRPI, MRPII, OPT, DBR) production planning, scheduling and control, production conformity verification, identification, traceability systems and maintenance systems are dealt with, too.
