Student should be able to: 1. Understand and explain basic principles of quality management. 2. Design quality management procedures within infrastructure maintenance. 3. Assess and evaluate maturity of infrastructure maintenance management system. 4. Apply methods and tools of quality management in practice.

Summary

Basic principles and concepts of advanced quality management. The ISO 9000 family of standards - requirements and recommendations. Reliability management as a part of quality management. Quality management at design and development, purchasing, product realization and delivery. Service quality. Term infrastructure - fundamentals of infrastructure management. The role of maintenance within infrastructure management - quality management approach. Quality management systems auditing and its continuous improvement. Basic methods and tolls of quality management which can be applied also at maintenance control.
