Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Successful assurance of quality management system is not only in direct quality management but first of all it depends on knowledge of people in companies, their motivation and their permanent and efficient education in the field of quality management. The aim of the course is to increase the knowledge in the field of human resources management, to acquaint with new trends and to help acquire new managerial competencies in accordance with the requirements of current versions of the ISO 9000 series, the EFQM Model of Excelence and other expanding standards or programs. Acquired skills and competencies: - Acquaintance with the requirements of other quality standards for human resource management - Acquaintance with new trends in human resources management. - Enhance awareness of the competencies needed for the position of Quality Manager. - Enhancement of managerial skills.

Summary

Content of this course will include all key processes in the field human resources management at advanced management systems: people recruitment, education and training, development of motivation programs, ways of efficient communication, people placement, etc. Special attention will be paid to areas as knowledge management, as well as corporate social responsibility.

Subject syllabus:

1. The importance of the human factor in quality management. Human resources and human capital. 2. Human resources management system according to ISO 9000 family of standards and the EFQM Excellence Model. 3. Other standards and programs focused on the development of human resources (Investors in People, ČSN ISO 10015, SA 8000, Responsible company, Learning organization, Knowledge organization). 4. Forms of education, levels of education, lifelong training of workers in the field of quality, measurement and evaluation of training effectiveness. 5. The role of leadership in quality management. 6. Leadership styles, advantages and disadvantages of individual styles. 7. Communication styles, efficiency of communication channels across the company, usage of new communication media. 8. Employee satisfaction measurement, utilization of acquired data for organizational improvement. 9. Motivation, motivation programs, evaluation of their effectiveness. 10. Employee evaluation, remuneration. 11. Teamwork, new forms of cooperation at different levels of organization. 12. Corporate culture, its role in quality management, phases of corporate culture change to improve the quality of the organization. 13. New trends in HRM - ethics and transparency, employee engagement, competency models, diversity and age management. 14. Corporate social responsibility (CSR), Creating Shared Value (CSV).
