The content of the subject is conducted in order to understand that the success, quality and competitiveness of business management depends primarily on the knowledge and skills of people - employees and their continuing education and lifelong learning. Knowledge management is introduced in the context of a quality management system. Gained knowledge: - know the basic concepts of knowledge management. - to become acquainted with the role of knowledge management within quality management. - to know the different approaches to education in the organization - the possibilities of training of employees, the evaluation of the effectiveness of education. Learning outcomes and competences: - get acquainted with different strategies for acquiring knowledge and finding a way for effective self-education. - to be able to analyze the knowledge needs of an organization and to be able to plan their acquisition. - to be able to apply selected methods and tools in the field of knowledge management in the context of quality management system. - acquire selected knowledge management knowledge.

The subject is focused on knowledge management in the company, including explanation of importance of basic principles, processes and tools of knowledge management in corporate practice. Part of the lesson is an insight into employee training, knowledge needs analysis, implementation and evaluation of the effectiveness of education. Attention is also focused on various concepts of knowledge management in business practice: learning organization, knowledge business and their characteristics. Students test their learning abilities and are able to find the optimal way of self-education.
