Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The objective of the course: work on solution and elaboration of bachelor thesis; bachelor thesis defense; passing the final state examination. Acquired knowledge: research and professional activity corresponding to the topic of the bachelor thesis. Acquired skills: elaboration of the final thesis; the processing of experimental data; formulation of hypotheses and their verification; discussion of results in the context of the current state of the art; formulation of conclusions; presentation of obtained results, and expert argumentation on the solved topic.

Summary

Předmět je součástí oborového bakalářského studia a zaměřuje se na podporu studentů při zpracování závěrečné práce. Konzultace otázek a řešení nejasností v kontextu tématu závěrečné práce, zpracování experimentálních dat, formulace hypotéz a jejich ověření, diskuze výsledků s ohledem na současný stav poznání v oboru, formulace závěrů, prezentace výsledků a odborná argumentace.

Subject syllabus:

- Selection of the topic of the bachelor thesis based on the student's individual interest in the topics listed. - Choice of the goal of the thesis and selection of adequate methods for its processing, discussion of the outline of the thesis. - Literary sources, the relevance of used sources, orientation in technical documentation, citing and compiling a list of used references. - Consultation of the formal requirements of a bachelor thesis. - Experimental measurement of a bachelor thesis. - Processing results of a bachelor thesis. - Continuous consultation of the results with the supervisor of the bachelor thesis. - The methodology of processing the conclusions of the bachelor thesis. - Preparation for bachelor thesis defense. - Consultation of the bachelor thesis with the bachelor thesis supervisor. - Presentation of results of bachelor thesis in front of students and staff members.
