Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Student will know how to study and mathematically describe the basic deformation mechanisms, plastic properties and structure-forming processes related to hot/cold forming and acting in the course of free or controlled cooling of the formed products. Student will be able to apply this knowledge at optimization and control of structural and mechanical properties of the bulk formed material.

Summary

Subject provides comprehensive theoretical and technological knowledge about the progressive processes of flat and long products rolling, including hot and cold processing. Attention is also paid to the structure-forming processes related to hot/cold forming and acting in the course of free or controlled cooling of the formed products.
