Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

To characterize the iron alloy system in castings, to know the thermodynamic and kinetic connections of the production phases of steels and graphite castings, to identify the thermodynamic and kinetic processes of the non-alloyed and alloyed steels and castings on electric induction and arc furnaces, to design and apply deoxidation, refining and alloying methods of extracorporeal processing and metallurgical defects of cast iron ay mimopecního zpracování a metalurgické vady odlitků ze slitin železa.lloys.

Summary

The course provides theoretical and technological knowledge of metallurgical processing of ferrous and non-ferrous alloys. It focuses in particular on the links between the level of metallurgical processing of the melt and the formation of the micro and macro structure of castings of steels, graphitic alloys and non-ferrous metals.
