Summary

Powder metallurgy represents a progressive technology of production of structural and functional materials, which cannot be made by classical procedures. It is also possible to process by powder metallurgy classical materials in order to increase utilisation of materials and reduction of production costs. Powder metallurgy is used among others for production of a broad range of materials for electrical engineering (contact materials, metals difficult to fuse, magnetic materials, etc.). Within the frame of studies for the Ph.D. degree increased attention is paid to applications of theoretical bases on technical problems of sintering processes.
