Summary
The student is introduced in a simple way to the technically important types of non-ferrous alloys, steels and cast irons. Emphasis is placed on the connection of the basic physical and metallurgical properties of these materials with their useful properties, the advantages and disadvantages of each material and the main areas of their application.
