Summary
The content of the subject is to provide the students of the bachelor study with basic knowledge about the structure and properties of the materials surfaces. Emphasis is placed on the specifics of processes taking place on most surfaces, interfaces and thin layers. In addition to classical technologies, attention is also paid to modern surface finishing technologies. Applications of important technologies are demonstrated on practical examples. The basic methods of evaluation of structure and properties of surface layers are also described.
