Předmět je zaměřen na problematiku oběhového hospodářství, maximalizaci využívání odpadů jako druhotných surovin a minimalizaci tvorby odpadů. Výuka bude probíhat formou prezentací s následnou diskusí k danému tématu.

Circular economy.
The basic terms of circular economy, product life cycle.
Renewable, non-renewable resources, raw materials saving, sustainability.
Reduction of waste generation, consumption of raw materials and energy. Material flows.
Overview of basic technologies for common types of waste processing.
Examples of specific waste treatment technologies.
Upcycling, downcycling, urban mining.
Limiting factors for use of waste as a secondary raw material.
Utilization rate of selected waste, EU requirements.
The system of circular economy in practice.
Current environmental problems related to waste generation.
