- student will be able to describe principles of spectrometry
- student will be able to characterize OES and ED-XRF spectrometry methods
- student will be able to prepare samples for analysis, perform measurements and evaluate the obtained data
- student will be able to assess the suitability of using the OES and ED-XRF method

Předmět je zaměřen na problematiku nedestruktivní chemické analýzy kovových materiálů pomocí spektrometrie a na stanovení vybraných kovů v nekovových materiálech. Výuka bude probíhat formou prezentací, seminářů a laboratorních prací.

Introduction to spectrometry, non-destructive chemical analysis
Basic principles of optical emission spectrometry
Basic principles of X-ray fluorescence spectrometry
Preparation of samples for measurement
Chemical analysis by OES method
Chemical analysis by ED-XRF method
Determination of chemical composition of selected metals and their alloys
Determination of chemical composition of metallic waste
Determination of selected elements in non-metallic materials (soils)
Heavy metals in the environment
Evaluation and processing of obtained results
Assessment of the suitability of using the OES and ED-XRF method
Advantages and disadvantages of using the OES and ED-XRF method for selected types of metallic materials
