Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

By passing the doctoral subject Human resource (HR) management in industry students will extend their theoretical knowledge from the precedent studies of personnel management by the latest scientific methods and approaches to HR with the emphasis on employees of production branches, especially on working-man positions. The theoretical approaches will be presented and consulted with students on case studies of front manufacturing companies. The complex HR management will be understood by students at best on the process, principles and steps of performance management, such as recruitment, appraisal, remuneration and development of employees. The subject should be comprehended fully in the international environment and learning habits of foreign enterprises. Last but not least students will get to know trends in HR management in industry, such as increasing employee age and rising need for their further education and training due to extending production automation.

Summary

The aim of the subject is to offer the latest scientific knowledge from the selected areas of human resource management with the strong focus on employees of manufacturing companies. The subject bases upon performance management model, its fundamental parts and related linkages. There are discussed contemporary empiric and theoretic findings from the international HR management and its main trends such as employee’s age increase and the rising need of further employee training and development
