Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

- Student will have a basic knowledge of information and management systems in enterprises. - Student will be able to describe the basic functions of ERP systems. - Student will be able to define the differences between the most commonly used ERP systems. - Student wil be able to use basic Microsoft Office programs in practice (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Summary

The course focuses on the specification of business information systems and their functional modules and to define the conditions for their implementation. It also focuses on the definition of ERP systems and their modules. Attention is paid to the use of electronic communication, both in the acquisition and transfer of information and in e-banking and e-learning. We present danger regarding electronic communication. The course is devoted to the practical use of MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint in corporate reporting.

1. Definition, development and purpose of the enterprise information systems. 2. The use of information systems in enterprises. 3. Definition and classification of ERP systems and their functional modules. 4. Principles of implementation of enterprise information systems. 5. Definition of data warehouse, data cube, data pump, data mining. 6. Specifications ERP modules – Accounting; Controlling (budgets, calculation). 7. Specifications ERP modules - Production Planning and Management (MRPII, II, APS); Warehouse Management. 8. Specifications ERP modules - Maintenance Management; Investment Management. 9. Specifications ERP modules - CRM - Customer Relationship Management. 10. Specifications ERP modules - DMS - eGovernment documentation. 11. ERP systems by suppliers; Management Information Systems; Business Intelligence. 12. Internet, Intranet, Extranet; Spam, viruses, adware, spyware, rootkits, malware protection against them. 13. E-banking, E-learning; Digital signatures, encryption symmetric and asymmetric. 14. Practical use of MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint in corporate reporting.
