Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Student of the subject will understand the role and principles of human resource (HR) management in the specific environment of a production company, and will get to know the human resource as the decisive source of company's success. Student will obtain knowledge of fundamental personnel activities of performance management such as recruitment, evaluation, remuneration and training and development of employees of manufacturing companies. Student will get to know about the terms and importance of firm's culture and employee relations and will acquire the knowledge of the complex science discipline about labour - ergonomics. Student will obtain basic information about HR strategies and planning with the emphasis on workers position.

Summary

The aim of the subject is to introduce the importance, principles, function and modern tools and approaches of personnel management in a present day industrial enterprise. Individual areas of personnel management are presented to students with an emphasis on internal conditions of production sphere as well as on the external conditions, especially with the respect to the development of the situation on the labour market and in the Czech and world economy. The subject presents enterprise employees as the decisive source of company’s success and introduces personnel management skills in such a scope for students to comprehend how to combine and implement them with the strong respect to specifics of a production company.
