Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
The student will be oriented in the principles of metallurgical and related technologies, will be able to describe input raw materials and their preparation processes, the essence of physical and chemical processes of individual technologies, production equipment, assortment of manufactured products, its properties and use.

Summary
The aim of the subject is to introduce the students to the principles of modern industrial technologies. Students will learn about the basic principles of metal production and their further processing. They will be familiar with the current possibilities for the production of chips, but also smart materials. Other areas of interest are the production and use of nanotechnology or the application of artificial intelligence principles in the management of industrial systems. The listeners will be introduced to modern principles and tools of lean production and processes of increasing the quality of industrial production processes.

Technology of treatment of input raw materials and their use in the production of ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
Iron and steel production - basic technology and production principle.
Forming of material - basic methods of forming material, formability of metals, heating of metals for forming, technology of production of formed products.
Engineering technologies – material separation, metal machining, joining, assembly, modern precision machining technologies.
Modern chip manufacturing technology.
Production and use of smart materials.
Production and use of nanotechnology in production processes.
Possibilities of using recycled materials in production processes.
Artificial intelligence in the process of optimizing industrial technologies.
Lean manufacturing and World class manufacturing concepts in industrial production.
Evaluation of the quality and performance of production processes.
