Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
Learning outcomes of the course is to acquaint students with the industrial heritage and technical monuments, which show the historical development of various fields of human activity, thus demonstrating the development of technology, science and production in the history of the society.
Students will acquire basic knowledge of technical monuments in a historical context and will be able to look into this issue in context.

Summary
The (newly designed) subject deals with the relationship to the industrial heritage and technical monuments, which testify about historical development of interdisciplinary human activities thereby document development of technology, science and production in human history. Their cultural value is so high that it is in the society's interest to preserve them permanently.
Students will visit technical monuments and industrial objects. The lessons will also take place in the field.

Visit to a technical museum or a technical monument (Dolní oblast Vítkovice, Slag heap Ema etc.). Elaborating an individual project (min. 2 pages) about a visit a technical museum or a technical monument.
