Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Course objectives Provision of general view of law to students. Aim is to familiarize students with legal order as a whole, theory of law, as well as with a way to work with legal regulations.

Summary

TAUGHT ONLY IN CZECH Annotation Familiarization with role and function of law in society. Relation of the state as a representative of public authority and law as an instrument of regulation of relations in society. Students will get basic view of legal order of the Czech Rep.

Legal systems, law making, legislative process 4. Sources of law, legal facts, legal norms (validity and effectiveness) 5. Fundamentals of constitutional law 6. Introduction to civil procedural law 7. Civil proceedings disputed and uncontested 8. Introduction to Substantive Civil Law (General Part) 9. Family law 10. Absolute and relative property rights 11. Business Corporations Act 12. Act on Public Registers of Legal and Natural Persons and on the Registration of Trust Funds 13. Basics of criminal law 14. Basics of administrative law (territorial self-government, administrative proceedings)
