Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Students completing the course will be able to: - use different forms of communication; - understand the various communication situations, apply the principles of effective communication, respect intercultural differences; - improve their verbal expression, present on a given topic; - engage in a conversation, ask appropriate questions, argue; - assess theit role in the team, to work with the other members; - identify own strengths and weaknesses with respect to professional orientation and career of researcher, formulate short-, medium- and long-term goals of personal development.

Summary

This subject is intended for future researchers. It focuses on the soft skills development so that students can improve their communication skills, oriented in a multicultural environment and be able to exploit their potential in teamwork.

Verbal Communication. 6. Conduct of Interview, Types of Questions, Principles of Effective Communication. 7. Non-Verbal Communication. 8. Intercultural Aspects of Communication. 9. Assertive Skills, Negotiation. 10. Presentation Skills. Types of Presentation, Audience Analysis, Creation of Presentation. 11. Rhetoric Skills. Preparation for Public Appearances, Paralingvistic Aspects of Speech, Argumentation. 12. Cooperative skills. Testing team roles (Belbin), Strengthening Cooperative Competencies. 13. - 14. Self-Management. Identification of Own Strengths and Weaknesses, Creation of a Personal Career Plan.
