Summary

The subject is intended for students of technical or economic orientation or humanities. Students will be introduced to the soft skills with a focus on self-management and diagnostics (charting their own strengths and weaknesses), effective communication and career planning.

Subject syllabus:

1. Soft skills - meaning, description, development opportunities. 2. Preparing for the tender – organization, assessment center, model situations. 3. Structured CV - form, content, trends. 4. Cover letter - structure and content. 5. Preparation for the interview, self-presentation. 6. Career planning - diagnostics (career type, self-knowledge ). 7. Self-management - developing the skills, diagnosis. 8. Time management - developing the ability to plan, following the schedule, deadlines. 9. Communication skills - communication scheme, communication phase, types of communication. 10. Nonverbal communication - function, analysis of basic signals, adjustment of space for communication. 11. Verbal communication - interview, principles of effective communication. 12. Communication techniques - presentation, moderation. 13. Negotiations with clients – the tactical aspects of negotiations with the client. 14. Assertive communication techniques.
