Summary
The subject is intended for students of technical or economic orientation or humanities. Students will be introduced to the soft skills with a focus on self-management and diagnostics (charting their own strengths and weaknesses), effective communication and career planning.

Subject syllabus:
1. Soft skills - meaning, description, development opportunities.
2. Self-management - developing the skills, diagnosis.
3. Time Management - developing the skills to plan, follow a plan to meet deadlines.
4. Communication skills - communication scheme, the phase of communication, types of communication.
5. Nonverbal communication - function analysis of the signals, modification of the space for communication.
6. Verbal communication - conversation, principles of effective communication.
7. Communication technology - presentation, management consulting, moderation, self-presentation.
8. Negotiations with the client - the tactical aspects of the negotiations with the client, managing manipulative approaches.
9. Career planning - diagnosis (type of career, team roles, Self - Holland, Belbin etc.).
10. CV, covering letter - the structure and content. Preparing for the tender - organization selection, assesment center, model situations.
