Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
The aim of this course is to gain social skills and habits, which could be applied to the professional intercourse with clients and trading partners. After finishing this course students know how to apply general rules of the etiquette to the particular social situations. They can use rules of etiquette within the basic professional events - entrance examination, accession to work, relations with colleagues, dealing with clients and partners. They may learn the issue of corporate culture, ethics, and communication in the company, the culture of foreign companies. On the basis of the knowledge of verbal and nonverbal communication students are capable of professional self-presentation, they know solutions to problem situations - working or private conflicts. Besides professional intercourse, students are able to represent successfully within the social events.

Summary
In the contemporary society, employers emphasize not only professional
knowledge and competencies, but also social and communication skills. The aim
of the course is to cultivate this skills: the aim is the mastering - knowledge, and ability to apply - of the social rules and conventions. The fundamental element is the understanding of general rules of social intercourse and application of rules to the particular situations - professional and private. An important part of the course is focused on social interaction, verbal and non-verbal communication, on professional manners and on the resolving of difficult social events. The professional practice could be linked to participation in social functions and events. Therefore
students are led to successfully representation of the firm and of themselves(code of conduct, dressing, and feasting). A significant part of the course is focused on corporate culture, internal and external business communication and culture of foreign companies.
