Cambridge English for Engineering: Technology 2: The aim is to create a grounding of ESP language and developing it with respect to communication skills, i.e. reading, writing, speaking and listening with the output level B2 (full-time) and B1 (part-time) of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Summary

Cambridge English for Engineering: The instruction focuses on further enriching the terminology necessary both for the communication in everyday situations and at work. Speaking, reading, listening and comprehension and writing are used to meet the set goals. A student is able to describe various jointing and fixing technique, describes design phases, types of drawings, is able to discuss about dimensions and precison. He resolves design problems, describes types of technical problem, assesses faults, their causes, suggests repairs and following maintenance. Technology 2: The instruction focuses on managing vocabulary, grammar a phrases within the set range and preparing for presentation. A student is able to assess advantages and disadvantages of generating alternative energy, describes parts of the plane, distinguishes forces affecting the plane during the flight, explains a principle of a hovercraft, describes design and technical conveniences of future buidings, talks about security at work, he/she is able to write a formal e-mail.
