Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
The aim is to acquire professional communication skill in English with the output level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages aimed at Aviation English.

All three semesters are focused on the concepts and terminology required for the study of Aviation English in accordance with ICAO certification.

Other requirements
Continuous verification of students' knowledge in practical exercises, where students are actively involved in teaching in the form of descriptions of diagrams, pictures and photographs from the aviation environment, analysis of short articles using real examples from the environment of air traffic.
Control tests and supplementary exercises verifying the correct acquisition of the meaning and use of English aviation terminology.
An independent small-scale project with a presentation of a selected topic using professional aviation English in the right context.

1. Licensing of aviation personnel
2. Airports, visual aids, aeronautical ground lights
3. Handling and ground staff
4. Refueling, maintenance and operation of aircraft
5. Vehicles and ground service equipment and facilities at the airport
6. Airport security and safety
7. Passenger and baggage handling
8. Health and medical problems
9. Emergency and non-standard situations in flight (SOS, PAN PAN) and at the airport
