Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The course aims to deepen general language knowledge and to create the foundations of professional English within all language skills, i.e. speaking, writing, reading and listening with the output level of B2-C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

Summary

The students will deal with and acquire vocabulary related to the environment, business alliances and employee's performance feedback. The course also focuses on language for job relocation and secondment, students will be able to apply conflict avoidance strategies. The grammar section covers the use of past perfect, present perfect and future perfect tenses and working with past modal verbs. Students will learn to change the word order in sentences emphasize important information and apply formal language to write parts of final reports. An important part of the course is the practical application of language skills. Students will work on presenting arguments, preparing proposals and presenting them, including using appropriate phrasing.
