Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
The aim of the course is to create and gradually deepen the foundations of professional English within all language skills, i.e. speaking, writing, reading and listening with the output level of B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

Summary
Students will be able to discuss fast-developing technologies within the biomedical field. In Units 4-6, students will learn about telemedicine, robotic-assisted surgery, and the use of nanorobots in medicine. Students will deepen their understanding of the word-formation principles of medical terminology acquired in the previous semester, and will be able to discuss the functions, appearance, and uses of various medical devices, surgical robots, and nanorobots. Students will also learn to distinguish selected synonyms and to form word combinations that are characteristically used in professional language. Students will also be able to write a recommendation email or create Wiki-pages in an LMS system on a given topic.
