Acquiring the language competence at advanced level. Acquiring enriched vocabulary and grammar structures for the professional communication.

Summary
The subject links up to language skills in Russian acquired at secondary school. Its aim is to acquire the vocabulary necessary for professional use of the language, develop the knowledge of grammar structures necessary for oral and written communication and to use them in everyday as well as peofessional situations. The instruction includes working with professional texts in Russian and studying the phenomena typical of the particular area of using the language. The aim is to acquire language skills with the output level B1-B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Subject syllabus:
Russian for self-learners and perpetual beginners. Units 10-14.
L10 How can I get to…? (Как добраться...?). Expressing need/neccessity in Russian.
Conjugation of verbs искать, вернуть/вернуться. Use of infinitive sentences. Formation of adverbs. Expression of approximity.
L11 Let's go! (Поехали). Declension of nouns ending in -ий, -ия, -ие in singular.
Condition method. Declension of nouns ending in ж, ш, ч, щ, ц.
L12 Let's go shopping! (Идем за покупками). Declension of adjectives in the singular.
Construction мне нужен/нужна/нужно/нужны. Verb timing любить а купить.
Basic numerals 200 and higher in the 1st case. Counted subject.
L13 To the bar or to the gym? (В бар или в спортзал?). Verb tenses пить, есть.
Declension of masculine and feminine nouns in the plural.
L14 Health above all (Здоровье прежде всего). Declension of nouns of the middle gender in the plural.
Formation of imperative method for the 2nd person singular and plural. Order for reflexive verbs. Conjugation of the verb to write. The verb be in the past tense. The negative of the verb to have in Russian in the past and future tense.
